PoP is up, but the tunnelbot doesn't ping
[nl] Shadow Hawkins on Friday, 23 May 2008 22:14:56
According to the tunnelinfo, my tunnel isn't returning the pings of the tunnelbot. My `tcpdump` tells me my tunnel is working properly (tested from a remote IPv6-enabled shellserver), but it doesn't show the 20 ICMPv6-pinging-spree from the tunnelbot. Because my tunnel is working properly and there aren't any firewall-rules which could block the tunnelbot-pings, I think there might be something wrong with the PoP's tunnelbot. (Yes, this is the same ticket-content as with my previous ticket, but with a different PoP. I'm a lazy MoFo, I know ;))

Please actually read the "Reporting Problems" section.

I was having the same problem. Could it be that the computer setting up the tunnel is also providing NAT for IPv4? That seems to cause problems, see this page: https://www.sixxs.net/faq/connectivity/?faq=conntracking In my case, the second 'better' solution for Linux broke my entire IPv6 connectivity, but the first seems te be working. Good luck!
