I've successfully requested ipv6 static tunnel and recieved approval. I've selected ruled01 PoP, which was named ruled01 - EDPnet N.V. (St.Petersburg). St.Peterburg is located near me (~2000km) with average ping time from my location is around 28 ms. But In tunnel parameters i've been assigned an ip address 77.109.111.178, which is located in Belgium. So, now I have awful ping times. Tunnel is totally unusable. Some sites do not open in 20 seconds. So why for PoP with precise town name (St.Petersburg) choosen IP is located in another town and country? Thank you for support. Why do you think it is "located" in Belgium?

Compare ping times from my ip (80.234.47.97):

What is the source of that ping? What is the path taken?

So why for PoP with precise town name (St.Petersburg) choosen IP is located in another town and country?

Try this awesome tool called 'traceroute', most likely either your local network already has huge latency, or your ISP is routing that address space half-way around Europe. The PoP (ruled01) is really located in St.Petersburg.

Thank you. I forgot about traceroute. Yes, my trace consists of 18 points, but normal trace(tried from another ISP) is 7 points only and there is 31 ms latency. I'll speek to my ISP support about this. WBR, Andrew.
