I am unable to configure a tunnel using Windows Vista, that is,
netsh interface ipv6 add v6v4tunnel <local IPv4 addr> <remote IPv4 addr>
does not work. More precisely, the netsh command does not have a v6v4tunnel option or any comparable option.
Has anybody else seen this problem?
Does anybody have a solution?

Strange. Googling a bit, it is not even mentioned in most of the documentation. I'll contact some Microsoft folks.
Shortcut solution: use AYIYA.

AYIYA requires AICCU which requires TAP-Win32. The Windows Vista and Longhorn Server IP stack is a completely new implementation. The TAP-Win32 installation fails with a blue-screen.

Then that nicely sucks(tm), next solution: run the tunnel on another device and use a subnet to give connectivity
The q about the tunnel interface is now at M$'s Program Managers, lets see what happened to that.

They are aware of the issue but the issue does not meet the bug bar level, thus it will have to wait till Vista SP1....
I'll do some complaining as that is silly...

Hello,
I have the same problem right now. Been complaining for a while in the beta newsgroups, but so far the latest 5536 build is still missing v6v4tunnel from netsh. I'll try to install the TAP driver and see if it still bluescreens.

Ok, I would like to let you know that I'm able to have IPv6 tunneling through AYIYA in Windows Vista (5786 build) using the latest TAP-32 beta14 driver (which doesn't BSOD anymore).

I downloaded and installed OpenVPN on Windows Vista -- no issues. I then used OpenVPN to add a TAP device -- blue-screen crash.
