FB7390 Fritz!OS tab for IPv6 disappeared/eliminated

I use a router AVM Fritz!Box 7390 Version CH-AT from sunrise.ch with Firmware Fritz!OS 6.05 on Annex A with All-IP in Switzerland. Before there was a tab in the GUI of the FB7390 for IPv6: http://service.avm.de/help/de/FRITZ-Box-7390-avme/012/hilfe_internet_ipv6 With help of this tab I installed my tunnel for IPv6 with SixXS.net. This tab is also promoting tunnels for IPv6 by intermediary of SixXS.net! Since some time this tab disappeared or was eliminated by remote configuration on my FB7390. Sunrise.ch denies elimination of this tab by remote (TR-069 http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/TR-069). http://avm.de/nc/service/fritzbox/fritzbox-7390/wissensdatenbank/publication/show/173_Bestimmte-Einstellungen-fehlen-in-der-Benutzeroberflaeche-der-FRITZ-Box/ My tunnel for IPv6 is still running, but I don't want to lose it. What can I do ? How can I get back this tab for IPv6 ? Or is there an other way to configure IPv6 on Fritz!OS 6.05 ? By command-line ? If SixXS.net still has interests, that tunnels for IPv6 can easily be configured on Fritz!OS SixXS.net should contact AVM Berlin! Best regards AW

Here in north Germany i have 2 AVM Fitzbox 7360.One provided by the ISP is a CH-AT version, now flashed to AVM firmware 6.05, was provided with ISP firmware version. In AVM 6.05 firmware, internet settings is a button to disable TR69.When set to on they delete my alternativ voip accounts within seconds. My german version 7360 with firmware has no button to disable TR69,is off.ISP is EWE / Osnatel, a small local provider. You should safe your config with password. Then safe it again with password after loosing sixxs tunnel and check for differences in the safed files. Or simply reload the safed files to see what happens. Sixxs runs perfect here, no latency differences IPv4 / IPv6 due to POP's of ISP and SIXXS in same city.

You are using a device provided by a company. That company owns and controls that device. Hence you'll have to ask them about this, as there is little to nothing we can do about that company controlling their own devices. When contacting them, also ask when they are going to deploy IPv6 natively btw. Note that we as SixXS have had nothing to do with AVM adding TIC and heartbeat support into their products, that was something they added because of customer requests.

There may be a simpler explanation - did you check that you have enabled "Advanced-View" (Ansicht: Erweitert)? The additional Tabs for Internet access do not show in the standard view ... Regards, Wolfgang

I just got a new 7390 from Sunrise and had the same problem - no ipv6 tab. I eventually discovered there's a configuration option ipv6_hidden=yes. Change this option to no and the tab magically reappears. Here's what I did: 1. Enable the telnet daemon by dialling the magic number #96*7* from a locally connected phone. 2. Login and cd to /var/flash 3. Edit the file ar7.cfg . NOTE: since this file is in flash you can't use vi directly, use the command nvi instead. 4. Reboot Hope this helps David

Similar problem here. I have my own 7390. Upon switching to Sunrise as a provider, they automatically upload their configuration over TR-069. The new configuration hides the IPv6 tab, and change the IPv6 configuration (to automatic DHCPv6. Which doesn't work), and replace a bunch of other settings.
I eventually discovered there's a configuration option ipv6_hidden=yes. Change this option to no and the tab magically reappears.
My different solution: 1. Download the a backup of the settings from the modem. 2. Edit the "ipv6_hidden" setting in the backup file (and while you're at it copy over any other setting from an older backup. Like all the firewall open port settings, etc.). 3. Use exportsum.pl (from here: https://github.com/d3us/FritzTools/tree/master/exportsum ) to update the checksum in the settings backup 4. do a restore from the edited config file Source: - http://www.kdgforum.de/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=28709 - https://github.com/d3us/FritzTools/tree/master/exportsum
