[Windows 8 AICCU] tapinstall.exe failed

I have my tunnel approved and downloaded both AICCU and the tap driver. However when I tried to install the tap driver, it only outputs "tapinstall.exe failed".
The OS that I am using is a Windows 8 Professional x64.

Some time ago I had the same problem with the Windows 7 64 bits installation.
The solution for me was not to use the sixxs provided tapinstall, but to install the Openvpn tap driver. Somewhere in the wiki there is an article about this. The openvpn site is mentioned on the aiccu webpage.

I had the same problem - the SixXs installer wouln't work for me on W7/64 so I downloaded the full installer from the link in the SIxXs Wiki - Vista Wiki article
