Win XP IPv6 Setup problem
Shadow Hawkins on Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:30:52
Hi there,
I hev a problem with installing a Win XP computer accessing a IPV6 lan:
First I had installed IPv6 with IPv6 Install. It seems to work, the computer only did not use the Route Advicements in it configuration.
For safty I uninstalled and installed (including all the reboots) IPv6 and guess, no IPv6 configuration anymore (as showed in the listing below). Adding a address is also not possible.
Does somebody has any clue?

Win XP IPv6 Setup problem

You have broken your IPv6 installation, only way to fix that is a reinstall (no kidding). I had it once before unfortunatly. You could ofcourse contact MS Support as from XP SP1 and upward IPv6 is a supported protocol.
Or try the microsoft.public.platformsdk.networking.ipv6 group available over your local news access provider or news.microsoft.com
