Newbie problems on ZyXel prestige, Cisco with heartbeat interval on AICCU
[nl] Carmen Sandiego on Friday, 11 March 2005 01:26:19
Yesterday I got approval for a heartbeat tunnel, to be runned on a Tiscali/Tiscali Wholesale line with a dynamic IP adress. Connected by a ZyXel Prestige 650H. It seems no packets are comming into the host, and I the only things that works are localhost IPv6 pings and IPv4 traceroute to my POP, SURFnet. After trial-and-error a complete day on the location where it should be runned, I checked it from my XS4ALL line connected to a Cisco 8xx DSL. And came up with some other vague problems. After forwarding every possible trafic by: ip nat inside source static localip localdslip I got AICCU working, but after about 40-50 seconds my ping to my POP halts and needs to wait until a heartbeat package is send. Is there a way to change the 60 seconds heartbeat to 30 seconds? Is there a way to get at least IPv6 tunneling working on the ZyXel Prestige? The default server doesn't recieve any packets and I don't have a clue if the modem is passing them to the right location. What would be another (software) option? Or is there any verbose mode to check if packets are recieved on the POP side?
