Hi,
I want to route my subnet with FreeBSD. When I start route6d it says:
***** Gateway 2001:838:300:1a3::2 is not a link-local address.
***** dest(::) if(gif0) -- Not optimized.
What am I doing wrong?

For you it is time to learn a bit about IPv6 ;)
See the presentations section and read the presentations from Steve Deering and the Cisco IPv6 ABC. If all is well you will then understand the difference between a global unicast address and a link local address.
I wonder thought why you would want to run a RIP daemon...
I guess 'man radvd' is what you are looking for, not RIP.
SixXS doesn't do RIP nor BGP or any other kind of peering. All that kind of routing is handled by the ISP's.
