Confuse your salesperson with IPv6

I was in an electronics store buying something and just for the heck of it walked over to the routers section and asked the sales guy whether any of the routers supported IPv6. As expected they guy was blissfully unaware of what IPv6 was and asked a colleague, who didn't know what it was either, but said would look into it - whether he does really doesn't bother me. The reason I gave for asking is because I "read about it online and indicated that maybe in a year or two it would be a requirement and I didn't want to have to buy a new router so soon after getting my current one".
From that experience I wondered whether it would be worth just randomly walking into IT stores and asking this question, at least to get sales people wondering what this newfangled technology is all about, that they know nothing of. My intent was not too put them down, but to see how much awareness there is amongst sales people and whether there is potential to create a buzz.
I think it would also be great to encourage companies that have routers that are "IPv6 ready" to market this clearly on the outside of the box, rather than hidden away in the manual.

Which reminds me that I did register ask-for-ipv6.net sometime ago. Just needs
some content. ;-)
If I only had more time.

Quite similar to my experience when I managed the change of DSL providers for a friend of mine.
I had asked tech support a couple questions about the change, the new router,.. when just for the fun of it a asked about IPv6:
Me: Does your box (the router they provide) support IPv6 or are there any plans for such support. And how about your network, when will it have IPv6 enabled?
Tech-support: You mean IPTV?
Me: No, IPv6.
Tech-support: I don't know what this ist, please hold the line, I'll ask a colleague.
Well, at least he was honest about not knowing about IPv6...

I got a phone call from a sales person who wanted to sell me an Internet connection. I told him that I was interested in the service from their competitor (faster and cheaper), but that I would consider them if they gave me native IPv6. He actually knew what was IPv6 (but not the technical details), but said that they were not currently offering it and he didn't know their plans. I told him to give his superior the feedback that at least one potential customer was explicitly asking for it :-).
I then wrote an e-mail to the same company asking to be in the evaluation group for the IPv6 test deployment that they certainly must be doing. I was informed that they currently have no such deployment and that I would be informed by the media when they eventually got IPv6 support :-(.
Anyway, looking at the ISPs offering IPv6 in Switzerland I get the impression that they all have business solutions that are way too expensive for personal use. Are there any ISPs in Switzerland that would offer native IPv6 to private customers at reasonable rates?
