ipv6.me down, traceroute and mtr different?!
Shadow Hawkins on Friday, 28 January 2011 10:27:08
Just curious: ipv6.me seems to be down. When doing mtr and traceroute, I get different results, how is that possible?

Even more courious:
# mtr -4 ipv6.me works, resolving to 66.117.47.214, www.whatismyv6.com.
But
# traceroute ipv6.me doesn't: unknown host ipv6.me
Indeed, ipv6.me doesn't have an A, just AAAA records
I'm confused...
ipv6.me down, traceroute and mtr different?!

Even more confused: the above was from freebsd-host at home.
2001:16d8:1:1308::70 sends traceroute to
2001:7f8:1::a500:6939:1 and mtr to
2001:7f8:1::a501:2989
At work, from linux-host, 2001:7f8:1::a500:6939:1 sends both mtr and traceroute to
2001:7f8:1::a500:6939:1 ,i.e. the same as freebsd.
Both work and home have tunnels to the cph1-pop.

Oops. I'm embarrased...
ipv6.me != ip6.me...
Sorry.
But both ip6.me and ipv6.me are down.
