Smartphones and tethering
[ca] Shadow Hawkins on Wednesday, 26 January 2011 19:25:40
What is the expected scenario of a smartphone that wishes to tether or become a hotspot? I imagine in normal cases the phone will only receive an end point IP, so what happens when it wants to share its connection?

I IMAGINE teathering my ipv6 wireless connection with my laptop - laptop gets 192.168.2.10 as an address and the iphone put the computer on the net, the iphone can be dual stacked so i dont know what would happen if the iphone was not able to get a ipv4 address, but will let you know when i get back to the office and can play :-)
