M0n0wall is so nice
[us] Shadow Hawkins on Monday, 04 October 2010 07:24:55
I have been working the past few weeks at getting ipv6 set up on my network. I am not a network guru and ipv6 is pretty new to me. After going a few rounds with dedicated tunnel endpoints and trying to figure out routing and firewalls /etc I started noticing my sleep patterns were changing... and not the direction my boss would like them to ;) The point of this is that I finally noticed the tunneling capability in m0n0wall. It has AICCU and AYIYA built in. I typed my tunnel info in on the WAN side, put in a /64 on the LAN side and told it to advertise, then I set everything on my network to auto-detect ipv6. 2 windows 2008 R2 servers, 3 windows 7 clients on ipv6 with my IPs in a few minutes. I can not recommend m0n0wall enough. Great firewall, great router, easy download and silly easy config for both ipv4 and ipv6. Wheee!!

if you like m0n0wall you should try pfsense. It's a successor of m0n0wall and even better!

I may! I am a big fan of m0n0wall so far. I am busy setting up my nameserver for mrbill2u.net now. Once that is set up and I get a basic web site out I may try to inject a new firewall into the mix :)
