On debian, I can do
# host -t aaaa google.dk
google.dk has IPv6 address 2a00:1450:400f:802::1018
Reverse dns:
# host -t ptr 2a00:1450:400f:802::1018
8.1.0.1.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.2.0.8.0.f.0.0.4.0.5.4.1.0.0.a.2.ip6.arpa domain name pointer arn02s05-in-x18.1e100.net.
But dig cannot make reverse lookup of "colon-adresses":
# dig -t ptr 2a00:1450:400f:802::1018

Depends on the version of 'dig', but:
