noosl01-POP up but not routing
Shadow Hawkins on Wednesday, 18 August 2010 10:21:50
Sometime tonight (Aug. 18th), noosl01 stopped routing. I have three different aiccu-tunnels that are all up (and can be taken down and restarted) but neither ping6 nor traceroute6 goes anywhere at all - not even to the other tunnels on the same POP.
traceroute6 from outside gives :
traceroute to confusing.glemt.net (2001:16d8:ee5c:1:216:3eff:fe82:df2d) from 2001:ba8:1f1:f102:216:5eff:fe00:17f, 30 hops max, 16 byte packets

and stops.
It would appear that sixxs-oslo-demarc0.cust.ip6.p80.net is the actual machine used for noosl01.sixxs.net :
olemd@for:~$ host noosl01.sixxs.net
noosl01.sixxs.net has address 83.140.3.18
noosl01.sixxs.net has IPv6 address 2001:16d8:aaaa:4::2
olemd@for:~$ host sixxs-oslo-demarc0.cust.ip6.p80.net
sixxs-oslo-demarc0.cust.ip6.p80.net has IPv6 address 2001:16d8:aaaa:4::2
I've seen similar problems on my own networks with a crashed/hung radvd but then again, I don't know what's running on noosl01.

Please provide the details as requested in the big orange box. The Tunnel ID's are also useful and please check your local clock.

Tunnel IDs affected :
T22315, T23129, T25525, T22296
Platform: Linux (Debian)
All clocks are synchronized with NTP. There are no firewalls (at all).
I just restarted T22315 just to make absolutely sure, and now everything works. Including the other tunnels that didn't work.
Feel free to close the ticket.
