During the last few days I had the opportunity to play around with my laptop, GPRS and IPv6. I tried GPRS access with three carriers (T-Mobile, E-Plus and O2) and aiccu. That's what I found out: All three carriers assign private addresses to the users (Using APNs 'internet.t-mobile' (T-Mobile), 'internet.eplus.de' (E-Plus) and 'internet' (O2)) I was unable to set up a tunnel with either of them, I didn't try in detail why but I suspect protocol41 not passing through the NAT gateway... But I managed to get IPv6 working with T-Mobile's old APN 'internet.t-d1.de'. A 'real' IPv4 address is assigned when using it. Aiccu then works like a charm ;) Does anybody have information on other ways to get IPv6 working with GPRS? I asked T-Mobile about two years ago if there are plans to support IPv6 natively for customers. There were none at that time. Sad...
